Human existence
The (ecological) place and potentiality of human beings in this world and in the universe constitutes one of my greatest interests. I have followed the trail of this interest in various ways in my studies in theology and philosophy and in the study of various languages and cultures – especially Finno-Ugric languages & cultures and the world of the Hebrew Bible and early Judaism. Gradually I began to describe my interest in terms of ‘belonging,’ which I also sometimes call ‘being at home in the world.’
